Freedom of Speech II

And yet another example of the joke that is democracy; a system where freedom and rights are only eligable for an elitest few. Amazingly this time, it is also a drastic reaction by the system where Jews are insulted. Subhan Allah, it's like Allah is trying to show us what a bunch of hypocrites the Western governments are. Two example of when freedom of speech is used against the Jews the whole system reacts to correct it, and when it is used against Islam, any reaction is considered an attack on freedom. Inshallah the day will come when all Muslims will realise that just like they do not have a home in the tyrannical east, they do not have a home in the kafir west. The only home Muslims could have is in an Islamic state. Inshallah ya rab.

Mayor is suspended over Nazi jibe

London's mayor has been suspended from office on full pay for four weeks for comparing a Jewish journalist to a concentration camp guard.

The Adjudication Panel for England ruled Ken Livingstone had brought his office into disrepute when he acted in an "unnecessarily insensitive" manner.

The ban is due to begin on 1 March and the mayor's deputy Nicky Gavron will stand in for Mr Livingstone.

The mayor said: "This decision strikes at the heart of democracy."

He added: "Elected politicians should only be able to be removed by the voters or for breaking the law.

"Three members of a body that no one has ever elected should not be allowed to overturn the votes of millions of Londoners."

Mr Livingstone, whose annual salary is £133,997, said he would announce what action he would be taking next week.

The hearing followed a complaint from the Jewish Board of Deputies, which had not called for the mayor to be suspended over the comment he made to the Evening Standard's Oliver Finegold outside a public-funded party.

The chairman of the panel, David Laverick, said it had decided on a ban because Mr Livingstone had failed to realise the seriousness of his outburst.

He said: "The case tribunal accepts that this is not a situation when it would be appropriate to disqualify the mayor.

"The case tribunal is, however, concerned that the mayor does seem to have failed, from the outset of this case, to have appreciated that his conduct was unacceptable, was a breach of the code (the GLA code of conduct) and did damage to the reputation of his office."

Mr Laverick went on to say that the complaint should never have reached the board but did so because of Mr Livingstone's failure to apologise.

In a statement, the Board of Deputies of British Jews said it regretted the guilty result, but said Mr Livingstone had been "the architect of his own misfortune" by failing to recognise the upset caused.

It added it had never sought anything more than an apology and an acknowledgement that his words were inappropriate for the "elected representative of Londoners of all faiths and beliefs".

'Outrageous ruling'

But Deputy Mayor Nicky Gavron said the incident had been "blown out of all proportion" and described the decision as absurd.

Association of London Government chairman Sir Robin Wales added the "outrageous ruling" would stall the mayor in his work to increase police numbers and prepare the city for the 2012 Olympics.

Sir Iqbal Sacranie, secretary general of the Muslim Council of Britain, said: "This decision constitutes a clear over-reaction and an affront to our democratic traditions."

Mr Livingstone has said he was expressing his honestly-held political view of Associated Newspapers, but he had not meant to offend the Jewish community.

The Evening Standard's editor Veronica Wadley said that Mr Finegold had behaved impeccably when he was insulted and accused Mr Livingstone of being stubborn.

The London Jewish Forum welcomed the ruling, with chairman Adrian Cohen calling for the mayor to create a strategy to ensure London's Jews would be treated with respect.

Conservative London Assembly Member Brian Coleman said Mr Livingstone had let Londoners down. All three called for the mayor to apologise.

Baroness Hamwee, Liberal Democrat chair of the assembly, said she was "quite taken aback" by the length of the suspension.

If an appeal fails, Mr Livingstone will be responsible for paying his own legal costs, estimated at £80,000.

Civil War in Iraq

This is exactly what I'm talking about. I'm certainly not a supporter of the tyrant Saddam, but under his reign there was no such thing as enemity between Shias and Sunnies in Iraq. This trouble is certainly brewed from outside. Allah yestor.

Bombings In Iraq

The recent bombing of a Shia shrine in Iraq reminded me of an issue I have to mention. Personally, I do not believe for one second that these bombings that clearly target the Iraqi people of a particular background to be done by neither Iraqi nor foreign resistance fighters. I am not speaking from a moral stand point, but from a common sense one. The only people that will benefit from creating such feuds and divisions between the Iraqies are the invading American/European force. The British carried out these tactics in Ireland and it is well documented as an actual fact. Secondly, just last year two British army personnel were arrested by Iraqi police. These British army personnel were dressed like Arabs, with wiggs, and were driving a car full of explosives. Other reports stated that they actually fired at the police when the police tried to stop them. Not very long, however, an attack using tanks and helicopters was carried out on the prison that jailed those two British soldiers and they forced an escape. In other words, the British army was ready to carry out a full attack rather than have those two army personnel to remain in the captivity of the Iraqi police. Why? I'll leave that up to you.

Freedom of Speech?

When considering that absolutly nothing was done towards a very widely publicised newspaper that offended Muslims (I'm talking about the Danish cartoon in case you were born yesterday), this article clearly shows a double standard in 'where does freedom of speech apply'.

Holocaust Denier Begins Jail Term

Jewish leaders and historians have welcomed the conviction of Holocaust denier David Irving amid concerns that his jail sentence is too harsh a penalty.

The British historian is beginning a three-year prison term after admitting a charge of denying the Holocaust.

Irving, 67, insisted during his one-day hearing in the Austrian capital Vienna, on Monday that he had had a change of heart and now acknowledged the Nazis' Second World War slaughter of six million Jews.

He told the jury of six women and two men the Holocaust was "just a fragment of my area of interest", going on: "In no way did I deny the killings of millions of people by the Nazis."

But the historian, handcuffed and wearing a navy blue suit, arrived at court carrying a copy of one of his most controversial books - Hitler's War, which challenges the extent of the Holocaust.

Lord Janner, chairman of the Holocaust Educational Trust, said he was "pleased" at Irving's conviction. He said: "It is the conviction and not the sentence that matters. It sends a clear message to the world that we must not tolerate the denial of the mass murders of the Holocaust.

"The Nazis tried to wipe out an entire people. They murdered every one of my family on the Continent, except those who lived in Denmark. We must learn the lessons of the past to built a decent society for the future."

But Rabbi Dr Jonathan Romain, director of the Jewish Information and Media Service, questioned whether Irving should have been jailed for the crime.

Dr Romain, rabbi of Maidenhead Synagogue in Berkshire, said: "I welcome yet another public rebuff for David Irving's pseudo-historical views, although personally I prefer to treat him with disdain than with imprisonment. The real importance of his trial is to reinforce both the terrible reality of the Holocaust and the determination never again to let it happen to any people."

The Method to Re-Establish the Khilafah

The following article is written by a brother from the Islamic Party of Liberation (Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami). The article gives a short summary of the three-staged method to re-establish the Khilafah, I would recommend the books Attakattul el-Hizbi and The Method of Hizb ut-Tahrir for Change for a more detailed analysis.
------------------------------

The Islamic ideology has come with a comprehensive solution to all aspects of life and has not left any problem without a solution. Most of the verses of the Qur’an have come in a concise manner, and the Messenger of Allah (saw) has elaborated them and outlined the method of their implementation.

Hence, every single Shari’ah rule that represents an idea must have a method that outlines the manner by which it is executed. In order to please Allah (swt), it is imperative to take the method from Islam, for Allah (swt) says: T.M.Q. “Whatever the Messenger brought to you take it, and whatever he prohibited for you abstain from it.” [59-7]

Therefore, whenever we want to implement any Shari'ah rule, we are obliged to refer to the Messenger of Allah (saw), in order to recognise the method of its execution. This is so because it is the Messenger of Allah (saw) who demonstrated to us through his actions the manners by which the rules that Allah (swt) has decreed are executed, and because Allah (swt) has commanded us to refer to His the Messenger in this matter.

Therefore, the method of establishing the Islamic State must be recognised through the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saw), which includes his saying, actions and consent.

By reviewing the Sirah of the Messenger of Allah (saw), we deduce that he (saw) has followed a clear path, ever since Allah (swt) sent him with the message of Islam and until he established the Islamic State that existed for more than thirteen centuries as the leader of the world.

Here is a summary of the steps that the Messenger of Allah (saw) trod, so that we may proceed accordingly, while supplicating Allah (swt) to grant us success in establishing the Islamic State, which will be the basis for our revival and might and our felicity in this life and in the Hereafter.

By reviewing the method of the Messenger of Allah (saw) in establishing the State, we find that he (saw) proceeded in three periods:

The First Period:

This period started as soon as the Qur’an was revealed to the Messenger of Allah (saw) and as soon as he received the divine command to start spreading the call to Islam and to work towards establishing the Islamic State that brings Islam into existence and dominion in the realm of life.
Allah (swt) says: T.M.Q. “Arise and deliver your warning.” [74-2] The Da'awah of the Messenger of Allah (saw) was characterised in this period with an individual approach. It was noticed that the Messenger of Allah (saw) used to target his acquaintances and friends and generally the people that were close to him. It was also noticed that he (saw) used to strongly stress on the Aqeedah. The Messenger of Allah (saw) used to explain to whoever believed in him the corruption of the prevalent Kufr doctrines, and explain through the rational proof and the Qur’an, the triviality of worshipping the idols. He (saw) used to also bring glad tidings to the believers about Heaven and warn them against Hell. This continued for three years, during which a group of people numbering about 40 believed in the Da'awah of the Messenger of Allah (saw). It was reported that they used to meet in the house of Al-Arqam, where the Messenger of Allah (saw) used to culture them with Islam and develop their mentality and disposition, until he turned them into Islamic personalities, who lived for Islam and refusing to live but under the shade of Islam.

The individual Da'awah, the culturing and the preparation and shaping of those who believed in him (saw) continued until Allah (swt) ordered the Messenger of Allah (saw) to undertake a host of new actions, in addition to these actions he had already been assiduously undertaking. Hence the move towards a new period began.

The Second Period:

This period started when Allah (swt) ordered the Messenger of Allah (saw) to address society with his Da'awah, not in an individual manner, but in a collective manner, and to reveal his bloc or his group to people. This was after three years of he had been sent with the Message of Islam. Allah (swt) says: T.M.Q. “And warn your nearest kinsmen * And lower your wing to the believers who follow you.” [26-214,215]

Allah (swt) also says: T.M.Q “And say I am indeed he who warns openly and without ambiguity.” [15-89]

Allah (swt) also says: T.M.Q. “So expound openly what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists.” [15-94].

No sooner these verses descended upon the Messenger of Allah (saw), than he started the period of interaction and confrontation with society. In a book by Abdu-s-Salam Haroun, entitled “The Refinement of the Sirah of Ibnu Hisham” the author mentions the following on page 112: “When the Messenger of Allah (saw) initiated the call to Islam to his people as he had been ordered by Allah (swt), his folk did not snub him, nor did they react to his initiative until he mentioned their idols and belittled them. When he did this, they found it very painful and distressing, thus they censured him and consented to contradict and estrange him.”

During this period, the intellectual struggle continued a struggle between the thoughts of Islam and the thoughts of Kufr. The political struggle also continued and the Messenger of Allah (saw) exposed the corruption and the crimes perpetrated by the leaders of Quraysh. The Messenger of Allah (saw) used to rebuke the worship of idols that brought neither good nor evil, while reciting from the Qur’an Allah’s (swt) saying: T.M.Q. “You and the false gods you worship besides Allah are but fuel for Hell.” [21-98]

Quraysh started to harm the Messenger of Allah (saw) and his companions, especially those who had no protection from amongst them such as the family of Yassir, Bilal and others. The torture was intense and successive and the Muslims made huge sacrifices and offered martyrs for the sake of Islam. Quraysh remained stubborn and persisted on her Kufr. Society in Quraysh became petrified and unmoved and the words of the Messenger of Allah (saw) went unnoticed. When matters worsened for the Muslims and the hardship intensified, the Messenger of Allah (saw) started to look for a more fertile ground for his Da'awah and for people who would protect his Da'awah and the members of group from among the believers, and who would support his Deen. This became known as the seeking of protection and Nussrah. The Messenger of Allah (saw) attempted to seek the Nussrah several times, but he failed in every occasion. He used to be greeted in the worst manner and repelled in the harshest way. No tribe would accept to support him, except the tribe of Bani Amer Ibnu Saasaa who stipulated that they should inherit the reins of power once he is gone. The Messenger of Allah (saw) answered them by saying that the matter is in the hands of Allah (swt), to place wherever He wished. This continued for a while until Allah (swt) paved the way for His Messenger through a group from Al-Aws and Al-Khazraj, who gave him the first pledge of Al-Aqabah, which was known as the Baya’a of Women. In this Baya’a, this group from Al-Aws and Al-Khazraj, who numbered twelve, gave their pledge to the Messenger of Allah (saw) that they would associate none with Allah (swt), that they would not fornicate, nor steal and the like. The Messenger of Allah (saw) then sent Musab Ibnu Umayr with this group to Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, to culture them with Islam and to call people to it. Saad Ibnu Muath and Asaad Ibnu Zurarah responded positively to his call and Islam spread in Al-Madinah. Then the Second Pledge of Al-Aqabah took place, and it was known as the Baya’a of war, because this group from Al-Aws And Al-Khazraj, who numbered 73 and two women, gave the pledge to the Messenger of Allah (saw) to fight all people and they pledged to protect him if he were to emigrate to them in Al-Madinah.

The Third Period:

This period started with the emigration of the Messenger of Allah (saw) to Al-Madinah, where he established the nucleus of the Islamic State, which fought the battles and laid down the foundations of the greatest State of the greatest Deen in history.

This is the path in which the Messenger of Allah (saw) proceeded, with its clear three periods, since he started calling for the ideology that was revealed to him by Allah (swt) through Jibril (peace be upon him), until he succeeded with the help of Allah (swt) in establishing the Islamic State that implemented Islam in Al-Madinah and carried it by way of Jihad to the rest of the Arabic peninsula and then to the rest of the world.

Therefore, the Muslims must work towards establishing the Islamic State in order to revive the Islamic Ummah, according to the same method of the Messenger of Allah (saw). This is achieved through the study of the Sirah of the Messenger of Allah (saw) and through the perception of the Shari’ah rules listed in the Qur’an and the Sunnah, in an aware and accurate manner, so that they may acquire the sound awareness that leads to the fruitful work, that achieves the pleasure of Allah (swt) and leads to the revival of the Muslims.

Fatima's Letter

In the name of God, the Merciful, the Mercy-giving. "Say He is God the One; God the Source [of everything]; Not has He fathered, nor has He been fathered; nor is anything comparable to Him." [Qur'an, Surat 112 "al-Ikhlas"]

I chose this noble Surah from the Book of God because it has the greatest impact on me and on all of you and it strikes a particular kind of awe in the hearts of Believers. My brother Mujahideen in the path of God! What can I say to you? I say to you: our wombs have been filled with the children of fornication by those sons of apes and pigs who raped us. Or I could tell you that they have defaced our bodies, spit in our faces, and tore up the little copies of the Qur'an that hung

around our necks? God is greatest! Can you not comprehend our situation? Is it true that you do not know what is happening to us? We are your sisters. God will be calling you to account [about this] tomorrow.

By God, we have not passed one night since we have been in prison without one of the apes and pigs jumping down upon us to rip our bodies apart with his overweening lust. And we are the ones who had guarded our virginity out of fear of God. Fear God! Kill us along with them! Destroy us along with them! Don't leave us here to let them get pleasure from raping us! It will be an act to ennoble the Throne of Almighty God. Fear God regarding us! Leave their tanks and aircraft outside. Come at us here in the prison of Abu Ghurayb.

I am your sister in God (Fatimah). They raped me on one day more than nine times. Can you comprehend? Imagine one of your sisters being raped. Why can't you all imagine it, as I am your sister. With me are 13 girls, all unmarried. All have been raped before the eyes and ears of everyone. They won't let us pray. They took our clothes and won't let us get dressed. As I write this letter one of the girls has committed suicide. She was savagely raped. A soldier hit her on her chest and thigh after raping her. He subjected her to unbelievable torture. She beat her head against the wall of the cell until she died, for she couldn't take any more, even though suicide is forbidden in Islam. But I excuse that girl. I have hope that God will forgive her, because He is the Most Merciful of all.

Brothers, I tell you again, fear God! Kill us with them so that we might be at peace. Help! Help! Help!

[Wa Mu'atasima!]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In previous times, glory and honour were integrated into the lives of Muslims as part of the complete system of Islam. For instance, a Roman tied the end of a Muslim woman's dress to a chair while she was shopping and when she got up, a portion of her private parts became visible. She screamed "Wa Islama! Wa Mu'atasima!" calling for the Khalifah himself. The Khalifah (al-Mu’atasim) wrote this letter to the head of the cross worshipper's state:

"To the dog of Rome, I am coming to you with an army whose front is at your door and whose rear is right here."

Will You Trust Them? - Jordan

"And of all the artificial countries created by the victorious European powers who drew arbitrary lines on maps after World War I, none was more artificial than the tiny, poor, lawless leftover patch of desert that would become Jordan.
Even the flag was artificial. The green, red, white and black banner that fluttered over Arab raiders led by the Hashemite family against the Ottoman empire -- the basis for today's flags of Jordan and the Palestine Liberation Organization -- was designed by a British Foreign Service officer named Sir Mark Sykes and produced by his army's supply shop in Cairo."

  • According to Amnesty International, Jordan (including other countries like Syria, Egypt and Saudi Arabia) are hosts to the Western government to interrogate suspects using torture.

  • Documents from the German intelligence acquired by the DDP (a German news agency) show that Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman and Pakistan have been informed of US plans to attack Iran sometime in 2006 and are expected to ready for any support Washington needs. That was in December 23 2005.

  • Jordan has made a deal with the US to allow American oil company to explore a region near the Saudi border for oil. According to the deal, Jordan only get 40% of the profits made from the oil dug on its land.

  • Jordan is the United States’ fourth-largest recipient of aid

  • President George Bush last year called Jordan “a force for reform and positive change in the region”; Amman has contributed to the U.S.-led war on terror by backing the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq, arresting terror suspects, providing intelligence, and securing its border with Iraq.

  • In 1994, thanks to nudging from the United States, King Hussein signed a peace treaty with Israel.

  • Jordanian exports to the United States increased from $7 million in 1998 to more than $600 million in 2003, helped along by the 1996 Qualified Industrial Zone (QIZ) agreement to establish duty-free zones in Israel and Jordan, as well as the U.S.-Jordanian free-trade agreement signed in 2000.

  • The US State Department praised Jordan for combating terrorism in one report this year and accused it of human rights abuses in another.

  • "Jordan is at the top of our list of foreign partners," said Michael Scheuer, who resigned from the CIA last year, ending a 22-year career that included four years heading a unit tracking al-Qaida network chief Osama bin Laden. "We have similar agendas, and they are willing to help any way they can."

Accordinf to the Human Rights Watch:

  • Many of the Palestinians interviewed by Human Rights Watch had to wait for days in the no-man's land outside the border crossing of al-Karama before the government allowed them to enter Jordan. Conditions were precarious for all the no-man's land residents. The dust contributed to respiratory problems and sore eyes. Initially, lack of clean water was causing dehydration and diarrhea, especially among the some 60 percent of the population who are children.

  • Some 1,136 Iranian refugees remain in desolate and difficult conditions in the no-man's land inside Iraq, near the Jordanian border. The government of Jordan had earlier assured UNHCR that the group of mostly Iranian Kurd refugees would be admitted without delay, however this has not happened yet ...some 60 percent of the group are under fifteen years old.

  • Refugees from Iraq are only allowed to stay in Jordan for a maximum of 6 months, after which they are either subjected to daily fines or forced out of the

Will You Trust Them? - Saudi Arabia

The meeting had gone on for five gruelling days with no compromise in sight. So one night in late November 1922, Cox, Britain's representative in Baghdad, summoned to his tent Sheik Abdul-Aziz ibn Saud, soon to become ruler of Saudi Arabia, to explain the facts of life as the British carved up the remnants of the defeated Ottoman empire. "It was astonishing to see [ibn Saud] being reprimanded like a naughty schoolboy by His Majesty's High Commissioner and being told sharply that he, Sir Percy Cox, would himself decide the type and general line of the frontier," recalled Harold Dickson, the British military attaché to the region, in his memoirs. "This ended the impasse. Ibn Saud almost broke down and pathetically remarked that Sir Percy was his father and mother who made him and raised him from nothing to the position he held and that he would surrender half his kingdom, nay the whole, if Sir Percy ordered." Within two days, the deal was done. The modern borders of Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait were established by British Imperial fiat at what became known as the Uqauir Conference.
- Journalist Glenn Franke

  • India is a huge importer of oil from Iran. In the past few weeks, there have been a few meetings of the IAEA to vote whether Iran should have nuclear weapons or not. India wanted to vote against Iran but is being held back because of the threat that Iran will stop exporting oil to India. Where does the Saudi government come in? A few days ago King Abdullah made a new deal with India to increase sales of oil and carry out a number of “joint ventures” between the two countries in the fields of petroleum and agriculture. This is even though there is a huge pressure on Iran and the obvious fact that if Iran falls, you can say good bye to Syria. Does king Abdullah care?

  • The royal family in Saudi Arabia consumes 60-80% of the country's revenues.

  • 30% of the country's population is below the poverty line.

  • The last two points are all economic problems that you might think the Saudi government is trying to overcome, but would you still think so if I told you that they've recently built a huge golf field in the middle of the desert near Jeddah that costed them several million dollars? And there is also a new project to build a “King Abdullah Economic City” that will cost 26.6 BILLION dollars!

  • If anything there is a HUGE gap between the rich and the poor in Saudi Arabia, where the rich are mostly the royal family.

  • According to the 2004 Amnesty International World Report; “Over a dozen foreign nationals, most of them Yemenis, were handed over to their governments. The Saudi Arabian authorities said that the handover was part of bilateral security cooperation agreements to “fight terrorism”, but did not provide details of the names of those handed over or any criminal accusations against them. The detainees were not known to have been given the opportunity to challenge the decision of their forcible return on the grounds that they faced serious risk of human rights violations in their countries."

  • Up to 1,500 Iraqi refugees from the Gulf war of 1991 were, according to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, voluntarily repatriated to Iraq after the fall of the Iraqi government in April. They were among more than 5,000 Iraqis who spent over 12 years as virtual prisoners in the Rafha military camp in the northern desert near the border with Iraq and who were denied the opportunity to seek asylum in Saudi Arabia. Around 3,500 remained in the camp at the end of the year.

  • Saudi Arabia is also working on cooperation with India and Israel to fight “Islamic terrorism”.

  • Saudi Arabia's Prince Sultan Air Base was host to upwards of 4,500 US military personnel and an undisclosed number of aircraft, and these numbers are according to facts gathered several years after Desert Storm.

  • The Saudi government squandered huge monetary reserves in compliance with American orders, as Fahd offered his ex-friend Saddam Hussain $25 billion during his war with Iran. Saudi Arabia also undertook most of the expenses of the second Gulf War which was created by the United States to invade the Arabian Peninsula; the cost of this was estimated at $60 billion.
  • The theft of the Muslim Ummah's funds at the hands of thousands of princes belonging to the ruling family who draw tremendous salaries. The personal wealth of Fahd alone is estimated at $40 billion.

  • They gave Yasser Arafat a financial reward amounting to $100 million in order to fulfil the mission which has been trusted to him, and eliminate the Islamic Jihad movements in Palestine. Then the regime extracted a ruling attributed to Sheik Ibn Baz permitting peace with the Jews in order to give a fake approval to this treacherous activity.

  • Back in late 2005 the GCC which includes all gulf countries including Saudi Arabia and the UAE agreed to help destabilise Iran's nuclear program using non-military means with the US.

  • The Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) has membership of 57 states; population of 650 million (21% of world population); and importantly, 70% of world crude oil reserves and 50% of world natural gas reserves. And yet still, they are a bunch of impotent, incompetent, inept organisation in the world that has a lack of political will and direction.

  • However, nothing I could say that shows to you how ugly Saudi Arabia is that will convince you more than this documentary.

The Ideology

There are open-minded people that accept what comes and go along with the waves and changes of time and there are stuborn people who, when they see something they don't like, they try to change it using any means possible. It is these stuborn people who create the waves that the followers accept.

Each of us, whether we know it or not, follow a specific ideology. Sometimes we can even claim to hate that ideology yet in reality our actions and thoughts would prove otherwise. It matters very little, nay, I would go as far and say that it does not matter at all what religion you follow. In absense of any ideology, a religion is just a bunch of stories that you only take joy believing in. You might as well believe in the Silmarillion as it wont make the slightest difference.

So what is an ideology? The following are three definitions.
The unifying system of beliefs, attitudes, and values expressed in the superstructure of a culture. The body of thought and ideas that guides a society and perpetuates the status quo of the bourgeoisie.

A comprehensive set of political, economic, and social views or ideas, particularly concerned with the form and role of government

A complex term, but in (very) short, ideology refers to a belief system or world-view; a coherent structure of thinking which obscures incongruous elements in order to uphold a particular social order.

You can believe that Jesus died on the cross or that god has 8 arms or that Potato-Head will come to rescue the planet. This way or that these are merely stories that will not determine how you think and thus does not affect you in the slightest (at least not in this life and in your relationship with your fellow man).

Action is the reflection of our thoughts and thoughts are based on concepts. If I have a concept towards someone, then in different circumstances I would have different thoughts which will trigger different actions as compared to similar circumstances but towards someone else that I have a different concept on. Let me give an example. Let us say Omar has a negative concept towards Ali, in simple terms, he does not like him. Now if Ali asks Omar for a loan, Omar's concept towards Ali will trigger the thought "I don't trust he will pay it back" and thus Omar will refuse to give Ali the loan. Now if Ahmad, a third individual who Omar holds a positive concept on, i.e. he likes him, asks Omar for a loan, Omar will give Ahmad the loan because his positive concept tells him that he can trust Ahmad. The concept Omar holds for different people triggers thoughts that in different circumstances, he will act according to what thoughts come to his head from the concept he holds. Similar circumstances for different concepts would give different thoughts and thus different actions. But why does Omar act differently towards different people? It could be that he saw Ali do something in the past that Omar didn't like. Or maybe he lent Ali some money before and Ali never returned it. Or maybe he heard that Ali did something that he didn't like. It could be for alot reasons, however all reasons that build on Omar's concept of Ali are information that Omar gathered about Ali. Information that he could have seen or heard. It could even be indirectly related to Ali. For example if Ali was a pagan, Omar, being a strict Muslim, would refuse to give Ali the loan even if he heard of Ali's trustworthiness. It all comes from the concept and the concept comes from the education every single individual get from every single large and tiny details that we accumilate in life. This education does not only come from the school, does not only come from the house, does not only come from your holy books, it could come from the streets, it could come from the TV documentaries, it could come from the cinema, it could come from the books you read, the music you hear, the advertisments you see. It comes from everything and anything that sends information to our brains which thus puts another brick on one or more of the several concepts we hold about several different things. Omar could be a Muslim, a Jew, a Christian, a Hindu or even an Athiest.

Now why is all this important? Well to answer that question I have to explain what a society is. A society is made of individuals, thoughts & emotions and a system of rule. The individuals are everyone within a particular society. The thoughts & emotions are linked to the system of rule, how this is is the main idea of this thesis.

The system of rule is what laws and regulations are being implemented over the individuals. What the individuals can and can't do. This system of rule deduces it's laws through it definition of what is man, life and the universe and how does man relate to the universe. Answering these questions gives the system a basis as to what laws it should implement. Take Communism for example, not to go very deep, that ideology agrees that man is a souless matter that is only aware through the chemistry of biology. Once man dies, he returns to dust and cease to exist. The whole universe is linked to man in that it is like man of pure matter. This is the heart of Communism. The laws of the commune is indeed retracted from the surplus value, however the Darwin theory of evolution "proved" that materialism is correct where nothing else could prove Marxist thought. Through materialism comes the ultimate equality which traditional Marxist Communism is based upon.

This could be considered as the ideology's 'concept' where all its thoughts (laws and regulations) branch out of. However the importance of the ideology is that it controls the thoughts and emotions of the individuals. As in anything in this life, there will always be elements that will counter every formula. Thus there are indeed Socialists in a Capitalism system and Capitalists in a Communist system, however these elements are very small for if they do become of a significant number then the system will fall apart as the thoughts and emotions of the people are not coherent any longer, thus it creats an abnormality and thus instability in society that could only be cured with the introduction of a completely new system that is coherent with the thoughts and emotions of the individuals.

However, at the same time, the system controls the media. It legislates the rules and laws. It tells you what to watch and when to watch it. It puts down the school curriculem so that your children will learn and get educated on what they want you to believe in. The system controls most if not all the sources of information individuals have and thus they control the thoughts and emotions of the people.

So you could look at it in two ways; change the thoughts and emotions of the people to overthrow the system or overthrow the system to change the thoughts and emotions of the people. None of them are wrong as each is used according to its circumstances. I would write about these circumstance and the advantages and disadvantages of each of these methods in a later thesis.

To conclude this article, man's actions are the products of his thoughts and his thoughts are the products of his concepts and his concepts are the products of his environment and his environment is the product of the system. Thus, whatever story the man wish to believe, whatever name the man puts for his creator, his actions are not defined by his holy book, but mostly by the system that's ruling him.

As stated earlier, there are always exceptions where man could be a follower of another ideology and thus a fighter of the current ruling system. In such a case, his concepts are built on the ideology he holds, the tighter he holds the stronger his concepts' link to his ideology is, the weaker he holds, the stronger his concepts' link to the ruling system is.

Muhammad Cartoons

As this is, unfortunately, the big topic these days I am going to have to say something about it. First of all let's make one thing clear, the cartoons are insulting to Islam but they're certainly not the most insulting cartoons I have ever seen. We also know that the mosque "imams" who initiated the unrest by sending copies of the cartoons to Saudi Arabia and Egypt also sent at least 2 fake cartoons that they fabricated themselves. The question is now, what's behind all this? Why now? It's also a fact that the demonstrations in Syria and Lebanon were pushed by the Syrian government and the one in Iran by the Iranian government. We also know that surprisingly the cartoons were published in many countries including Egypt, Jordan, Morrocco and Malaysia. As far as I can tell, someone is deliberately trying to infuriate the Muslims and he is certainly not doing it for Islam.

Another thing would be, if the Muslims react so passionatly to any offence on Islam then where were they when Afganistan was invaded? Where were they when Iraq was invaded? Where were they when Pakistan was bombed just a few weeks ago? Where were they when France banned Muslim women from wearing their veil? Where are they while Kashmir is being gradually handed over to the Indians? Where were they when we saw our brothers and sisters in Niger starving to death next to a large supermarket filled with food? Where were they when we saw our Arab and Muslim rulers give the US (!!!) millions and millions of dollars after hurricane Katrina while they only gave a trickle to Pakistan after the earthquake? When air bases from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are used to bomb our brothers and sisters in Iraq. When air bases from Pakistan are used to bomb our brothers in Afganistan. When Karimov used the Russian army to mow down Muslim demonstrators in Uzbekistan. No, I would bet anything that what's going on today is not out of the heart of the Muslims, they have certainly been incited and pushed to demonstrate so violently. If they didn't react for those other much much worse events that occured and still occuring, why would they react in such a horrible way to such a silly cartoon unless this time someone is pushing them and inciting them?

One last point will be that in Egypt, the cartoons were published in October last year. Why didn't the Muslims riot then? It didn't anger them to the extent of rioting until a few more months! If that alone is not obvious that someone is inciting the Muslims to riot then you certainly need to check your logic. When angered they would have went out emidiatly, if they only rioted several months later that would only mean that someone finally was able to push them into the streets.

I still am not sure who's behind it and why, but I'm certain we'll know from the coming events.
